School Assembly Presenter Eugene Clark
Eugene"The Amazing" Clark, is a thirty-year veteran, award winning, entertainer, presenter, and educator. As a performer he has performed all over the world including England, Italy, Greece, Morocco, and more. His performances for schools focus on important educational topics that are useful and informative, for both students and teachers.
Clark received his Masters Degree from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. He currently teaches at the College for Creative Studies, Detroit, MI, where he has taken residency for the past 20 years. Recently Eugene received the Artist / Performer of the Year award from the Wayne County Arts Commission of Cultural Affairs and Humanities.
Mr. Clark is also an illustrator. His work can been seen in the popular children's book,"Red Riding Hood Races the Big Bad Wolf", which has already sold out of it's first printing nation wide. His visual art work is published by Harper Prism. He is selected by the Michigan Arts and Humanities Council to be included in their prestigious Touring Arts Program.
A master puppeteer, Eugene studied puppetry with Jim Henson's Muppets. He was commissioned to perform with the Macomb Symphony Orchestra at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts, Macomb, MI. He has performed at the Greenwich Village Center Theater, New York City, and the Cleveland Public Theater, Cleveland, Ohio.
